Talk to us if you’re worried
If you’ve been affected by someone’s behaviour while you were gaming, we can listen to you and help. We have trained supporters that you can talk to in confidence and explore what you can do next.
What you can expect when you start a live chat
Our live chat service is delivered by the national charity Victim Support. It’s available day and night for young people in the UK who experience problems with other players when gaming.
- You’ll have the opportunity to talk online to us safely and in confidence, and to choose what you tell us.
- You’ll speak to one of our trained supporters who will listen to you respectfully and sensitively.
- Anything you say to us will be kept in confidence, and all your information will be safe and secure. Read our confidentiality and consent policy to find out more about this.
- We’ll help you find the right information and support. We might provide this support ourselves or, if you agree, we can put you in touch with other organisations who may be able to help. Please be aware that at busy times you may be waiting to chat with someone. After 15 minutes, your chat may disconnect if all our advisers are busy. We’re really sorry if this happens – please try again at a different time.
Feedback and complaints
We want to give everyone using our live chat service the best possible experience. You can give us feedback to help us or make a complaint if you’re unhappy.
How we keep your information safe
Victim Support will do our best to protect the information that you give us.
You can find out more about privacy and data protection in our privacy policy.
If you’d like a copy of your live chat conversation, you’ll be asked to enter your email at the end of the chat and it will be sent to you once the conversation has ended.
